Employee Spotlight
Jacqueline M. Brock C.E.O.
I was born and raised in England and came to the United States in the late 1960’s as a teenager. I always had an entrepreneurial spirit and started my own business at the age of 13 (I ran a little school in my parent’s garage for young children

and designed and made doll clothes that I sold in the neighborhood). I received a B.A. in education from Montclair State University in New Jersey and after 4 years of teaching art I moved to Brazil to be with my future husband.
Once in Brazil we opened a successful English school called The Montclair English School in Itabira, teaching English to the local people and the executives of the largest mining co. in Brazil Valley Do Rio Doce. After 3 years we returned to the US with our one year old son and I continued another business I had started in Brazil called “Things In the Pocket”. “Things in the Pocket” was a line of custom made and designed children’s clothes sold throughout boutiques and craft shows in CT and NY.
From there I went into the new business (at that time)of women’s health clubs called Spa Lady and helped open several in CT where I ended up as a regional manager, responsible for 250 employees and a half dozen health clubs. When the parent company decided to franchise I decided that it was time to leave as I did not believe the quality would be maintained.
I was hired by Chemical Bank for their new mortgage program as a retail loan officer. While at Chemical Bank I went back to school for my masters degree in Business & Organizational Management. I have been in mortgage banking for over 22 years.
In 2007 I started Adorno Products with my son. We always believed that Brazil, as an emerging country, had much to offer the rest of the world. We also are very interested in natural and organic foods. Brazil has vast natural resources so it was a natural progression for us to explore how we could share what Brazil has to offer with the rest of the world.
Our cheese breads or Pão de queijo are a personal favorite and a constant reminder of our beloved Brazilian family. We are actively looking for like minded business partners that care about customer relationships, high quality products and service and have a strong desire to give back to the less fortunate. I want to thank you for your patronage and look forward to working with you.
Regards
